David Miller, Millers Fish & Chips

David Miller

I managed to sit down and have a chat with David Miller from Millers Fish & Chips in Haxby.

I’ve known David for nearly ten years as you will hear, he’s been a customer many years but for the most part but a good friend too.

I found this episode interesting, although I have known David for a long time, I didn’t realise the extent of his health issues and how he overcomes them.

One thing I find amazing about David is his love for his family, it drives him forward. David is very passionate about fish & chips, but even more so he’s even more into training.

About Millers Fish & Chips

Fish & Chips has been a way of life for the miller family for over 75 years. Nick Miller’s great-grandfather Joe Miller started things off by opening the first family Fish & Chip shop during WW2.

Miller’s Fish & Chips in Haxby has been run by the millers for over 50 years, first by grandfather Jim Miller who had a string of Fish & Chip shops across Yorkshire and then for 30 years by Nick’s father, David Miller.

Miller’s is loved by generations of local families and as the community has grown and changed so has Miller’s Fish & Chips

If you listen to this episode and fancy being training by David at the NFFF school, then get in touch with the National Federation of Fish Friers.
