The first-ever National Hospitality Day takes place on Saturday 18th September and restaurants across the UK are being encouraged to take part.
The event is organised by Hospitality Action, Springboard, The Drinks Trust, and Licensed Trade Charity in a bid to showcase the hospitality industry, lift the mood of the nation and drive footfall, revenue and engagement for operators as they look to rebuild their businesses after the pandemic.
Describing the day as “a collective shout-out for the places we’ve all missed and a financial shot in the arm for a sector that’s been hit hardest by Covid,” Hospitality Action is calling for restaurants to get involved by giving the nation a reason to fill the tills and help businesses get back on their feet, all while having some fun.
Restaurants are being encouraged to decorate their venues and put on special events, offers and menu items while also building a charitable element into the activities so that diners can help all four key hospitality industry charities.
To make it easy for outlets to get involved, a free downloadable pack is available online containing posters, social media graphics, beer mats, stickers and much more.
