March 20th, 2020 Reading Time: 2 minutes
Michael Timinis

What’s your favourite food?

Pork kebab (souvlaki), preferably cooked on the Charcoal BBQ.

What’s been your best food experience?

Fish & meat meze in Cyprus. Fresh, plentiful and most of all enjoyable with an ice-cold beer.

If you weren’t doing this, where else would you be doing?

My background was in engineering with aeronautics. I did consider being a black cab driver or maybe even a gym instructor if I ever sold up!

Where would you like to retire?

I will be spending my retirement travelling to Cyprus and England more frequently whilst visiting other countries in between.

What do you do on your days off?

Ferry my kids around to their activities, which involve gym, jogging and shopping!

If there was one thing you would like to see happen that would make running a small business easier/better what would it be?

More technology, such as hand-helds for drivers, Euro 6 vehicles (ultra-low emissions) which we will be investing in the near future, and humans with common sense!

What’s the most useless talent you have?

Running late!

What is the dumbest way you’ve been injured?

Falling out of a 1100 bin whilst in the air with a forklift holding the bin up!

What quote or saying do people spout but is complete BS?

“You think it’s easy”. But it’s not BS. It’s the truth!

What did you think was cool when you were young but isn’t cool now?

Everything I did is still cool to this day.

If you had a theme song, what would it be?

Mission Impossible. It helps get a job done quickly.

What do you miss most about being a kid?

Not having any worries.

Do you have any ridiculous goals in life?

My mortgage adviser said we should have certain goals and an exit plan. Being a Cypriot, we just know only one thing – work.
